Cocoparks, a leading curb and parking management startup based in France, is proud to announce the deployment of its innovative smart parking technology in the city of Shimla, India. It will be deployed by end of 2024.
The project in Shimla aims to address the city's longstanding parking challenges by introducing a revolutionary technology that detects available parking spots in real-time. As a signatory city of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM), Shimla is deeply committed to reduce CO2 emissions.
The cooperation between Cocoparks and Shimla has been facilitated by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) support project, funded by the European Union. The GCoM project, with the strong support of ICLEI South Asia, AIILSG and NIUA, has arranged a series of business matchmaking meetings (onsite and online) to support the implementation of this innovative European technology solution in India, which will reduce CO2 emissions in the mobility sector, contributing to mitigate climate change globally.
