The Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM) South Asia Cluster Meeting was organised by All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) on September 23, 2024, in New Delhi, as part of the ongoing commitment to foster regional collaboration on climate action.

The meeting was attended by Mr Pier Remitti, Co-managing director GCoM Secretariat; Ms Eline Houwer, EU Delegation to India, all members of the GCoM South Asia Secretariat (NIUA, ICLEI South Asia & AIILSG); representatives of the GCoM SA Coordination group member, namely, CDP, Climate Group and WRI as well as city officials from two GCoM signatory cities – Leh and Jamnagar.

Participants engaged in meaningful and productive discussions, sharing valuable insights drawn from both completed projects and ongoing initiatives across various South Asian cities. This exchange of knowledge highlighted the region's collective efforts toward sustainable urban development and reinforced the collaborative spirit to maintain momentum.
